1 ½ lbs round steak

¼ cup salad oil

1 cup water

1 medium onion , cut into 1/4" slices

½ tsp garlic salt

¼ tsp ginger

2 medium green peppers , cut into 3/4" strips

1 Tbsp cornstarch

3 tsp sugar

2 Tbsp soy sauce

2 medium tomatoes

hot cooked rice

Cut meat into strips.

Cook meat in oil until brown for about 5 minutes.

Stir in water, onions, garlic salt, and ginger.

Heat to boiling; reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes.

Add green pepper strips during the last 5 minutes.

Blend cornstarch, sugar, and soy sauce.

Stir into meat mixture, stir until thickened.

Cut tomatoes into 8ths and cover and cook for 3 minutes.
