Sometimes you want to bake a treat for family or friends or a party that you’re having. And sometimes you want to bake JUST BECAUSE! I think this cake is a “just because” kind of cake. It’s great for snacking. It’s perfect with tea. And it tastes fabulous! Lemon is a big-time favorite cake flavor. This cake has the perfect amount of tartness to it. And a lemon simple syrup is drizzled on top and soaks into the cake– making it extra tender and lemony.
