When you buy crackers at the store, they’re full of all kinds of preservatives.  I can’t think of a single cracker brand that I really absolutely love either.  Crackers are all okay to snack on, but they’re never anything very special. Lavash crackers are in the same boat.  You can certainly buy them at the store, but they’re so incredibly delicious when you make them homemade.

This recipe for Lavash Crackers has a pretty good list of directions- lots of steps involved.  But they’re so fun to make.  The cracker dough is rolled out thinly and then cut into whatever shapes you want. You can sprinkle your cracker dough with a variety of goodies.  Poppyseeds, kosher salt, sesame seeds and pepitas… these are all good toppings for Lavash Crackers.

These homemade Lavash Crackers are so crispy and yummy to much on their own.  Or you can serve them on a platter with cheeses.  But I especially love to dunk them in my Spicy White Bean and Avocado Dip. If you’re looking for more homemade snack recipes, you might also enjoy my Soft Pretzels or these Parmesan Zucchini Crisps.  Roasted Blue Cheese Pecans, Frito Snack Mix, and Baked Sweet Potato Chips are good choices too!
