I’ve always loved a good hearty bowl of split pea soup. And usually, i’ve found the best at restaurants and diners that make their own from scratch. When split pea soup is served from a can or some other processed mush from a fast food restaurant, it just cannot compare to the real thing. That’s why I love making this recipe – it’s the real deal. Split pea soup can’t just be mushy green stuff. It has to have some hearty substance and by using fresh carrots, celery and onion, along with diced ham – well now we have something to talk about. And what I love is that the consistency of this recipe is as close to perfect as you can get. Give this recipe a try. I’m sure you’ll love it!   5 from 1 reviews Also, tag @recipe_teacher on Instagram and hashtag it #recipeteacher
