4 cornish game hens, rinsed and patted dry
8 oz stuffing mix
1 cup chicken stock
1 orange, large and cut up
¼ cup orange juice
2 tbsp honey
1 ½ tsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
¼ tsp orange peel, grated
Grab the cornish game hens and sprinkle inside and out with salt and pepper.
Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions.
Spoon into hens and truss.
In a slow cooker, arrange hens on a rack. If the slow cooker is small, place hens by neck ends down.
Combine the chicken stock, orange slices, orange zest, orange juice, vegetable oil, honey, and lemon juice in a bowl.
Baste hens with some of the sauce and pour the remaining mixture in the pot.
Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours. Baste hens once or twice during cooking.
Spoon sauce over hens at serving time and bite onto the juicy Cornish Game Hens with Orange Sauce!
