1 cup butter, softened

1 ¾ cups sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1 tsp vanilla

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp salt

2 cups baking apples, peeled, chopped

½ cup pecans , or walnuts

In large mixing bowl cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla with electric mixer.

Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.

Mix until flour is moistened.

Fold in apples and nuts.

Spread in a greased 9x9-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until done.
