The air fryer is such an awesome kitchen appliance and can do so much more than “fry” foods. For this recipe we’ll use a very simple spice rub to season our pork chops and then they’ll get air fried for about 10 minutes. No breading is necessary for this recipe. The seasonings create a beautiful outer layer that is loaded with bright, vibrant flavors that work so well with pork.
Simple Spice Rub, No Breading
Our spice rub consists of coriander, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Coriander has a very bright, almost sweet and citrusy flavor, while the cumin has that earthy flavor that’s very popular in many Latin dishes. The chili powder, salt and pepper fill out the flavor profile and help bring everything to life. We don’t need to use any breading at all for this recipe. We simply rub the pork chops with a little olive oil and then massage in all the coriander spice mix.
Air Fry for About 10 Minutes
This recipes calls for 2 boneless pork chops that are about 1 inch thick. These pork chops are so common and easy to find at most supermarkets or superstores. They’re also very affordable. This size pork chops will cook in the air fryer in about 10 minutes. If you have pork chops that are thicker, add a minute or two. If your chops are thinner, subtract a minute or two. I’ve found that the thicker pork chops work the best. They stay so nice and tender and are loaded with juicy goodness. Check for doneness with an instant read thermometer. You want the pork chops to have an internal temperature of at least 145° (F).
Let The Pork Chops Rest before Serving
Just like grilled or other methods, you’ll want the pork chops to rest for a few minutes before cutting into them. This allows all the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
